telling the difference

How do I tell the difference between a desert tortoise and an African Spurred Tortoise? We have been given a tortoise and I'm concerned about how large he will get.

Spurred or Desert Tortoise

The main difference you will see is the spurs on the hind legs of a spurred tortoise.

Keep is slow and steady.
