Terrapin Shell Damage

by Mark

I have a terrapin, roughly 10-15 years old. Recently its shell has become green/slimy which I know is not unusual. The shell segments underneath the green slimy build up is becoming soft and spreading. It has plenty on light, the correct water temperature and is not off its food so any ideas what this may be?

Normally, I would say to provide proper lighting, but you said you've done that. It sounds like it's time to see a vet. Try to find one that knows how to care for reptiles.
