Tortoise Alone for The Weekend

Can I leave my greek tortoise alone for the weekend? I have his light on a timer, and if I give him extra food and supplement with alfalfa pellets can I leave him alone for the weekend?

I would always have someone check on a pet that will be alone for more than a few hours. You never know what might happen.

But a tortoise should be OK on its own.
