tortoise fighting

PLEASE I NEED HELP !!!
i have 2 horsefield tortoises 1 male and 1 female, the female has recently started attacking the male by biting him around the neck and front legs, more so at feeding times. i have read up that males can somtimes try to attack the female but this is the other way around.
WHAT SHOULD I DO ?

First, be sure there is enough space for them to each have their own space. Then also be sure each can have a hidey hole from the other, somewhere they can tuck away into when under attack.

If neither solution works, puts them in completely separate housing. No one should be bullied in their own home.

Keep it slow and steady.
