tortoise landing on back

by Kirstin
(Parker, CO)

Our Russian tortise keeps climbing on top of his log that he sleeps under, but when he tries to come off, he falls on his back. We have seen him flip over once, but it's frightening when you find him just laying that way. Can our tortise be on his back or should we take the log out? Can you think of other things to do so that he can still climb on his log because he seems to like it.

Thank you, Kirstin
