Tortoise went mad!

Hi i've had a med spur thighed tortoise for around 6 years since he was about 6 months old and i do worry about him, had problems with calcium levels, he has a vivarium but has a ramp so effectively can wonder around the house but last night i came in and he was rampant, like he was walking on fast forward and came in tonight and he started crawling up my feet, like a desperate man. Any advice would be welcome, also any further info on this breed, thanks Neil
