Turtle keeps digging at bottom of glass cage

He's been doing it every morning and it seems like hes not grasping the concept of the bottom of the tank. Is there maybe something wrong with him or is it just a natural thing for a turtle to consistantly dig at the bottom of a glass tank

Turtles and Tortoise's love to dig, but if its in a glass structure and can see thru it, they think they can get to the other side of the glass. Put something under the glass so they know their at the bottom. This is a normal behavior...
