Turtle beak overgrown

Turtle beak overgrown

i've had my turtle for about 13 years and all of a sudden its beak has grown out too much. what can i do about this? it seems to be interfiering with him properly eating :(

Trimming A Turtle Beak

Yes, sometimes a turtle's beak will grow to the point that it interferes with eating. A vet can trim that for you. If you ask, the vet may well show you what to do so you can do it yourself in the future. I would have a vet do the job the first time, though.

Keep it slow and steady.
