Water Turtle Skin Infection

by Megan

yellow peeling from Mississippi Map Turtle

I have a Mississippi Map Turtle and he seems to have something wrong with his skin. Though he has shed periodically in the past, his skin appears to be peeling off and there are thick yellow clumps all over his tail and feet. One of his front feet appears to be very swollen. What is wrong?? Is there anything I can do to treat this??

In the photo you can see some of the yellow discharge on his tail and his swollen foot is visible.

Swelling
by: Anonymous

The swelling would bother me.

I'd want to see a vet as soon as possible. I'm sorry I odn't knwo what the problem is, but if a body part swells, there's something oging on.
