What do I do if my turtle has an infection?

by Renee
(Pgh, Pa)

My turtle's shell is red around some of the edges. The pet store told us to take him in the sun when it is nice out. It seems like the day after the turtles shell is red and irritated looking around the edges. He doesn't seem to be eating as well. What can I do?

Vet Time
by: Shelly

Your animal probably has a blood infection. Sunshine won't cure this. You will need to see a vet. Please don't delay with this.

Keep it slow and steady.
