What do I do with these guys?

Which tortoise is this?

Hi,

We just got these two turtles from a friend of ours who couldn't care for them any more. We want to treat these little guys right, but don't know how. Are they Sulcata tortoises or desert tortoises? Can I feed them fruit? Do they need to be kept warm? Thanks!

Sulcata or desert tortoise

If it's a sulcata, there will be "spurs" on the back legs. And if it's a sulcata, be ready for a REALLY BIG pet! A sulcata can get to be 200 pounds.

Either will need to graze. Native grasses and weeds are best. Just be sure there are no pesticides.
