hi dear, the way you have described about the whole thing, i can only say that your turtle is trying to say something to you. may be it is asking for food or trying to tell you that it is facing some problem may be an health issue, or just doing a jesture. i'll suggest you to visit a vet and get a through checkup done for your turtle.
