what would make my tortoise poop?

would it be ok if i give one of my tortoises detox? one of my tortoises hasnt been eating lately and i think its because it hasnt been able to poop out the last batch of food it ate. i want to give my tortoise detox so it would be able to poop. (detox cleans your body then makes you poop out the waste)but im not sure if the detox will kill my tortoise. i need help.

Did you notice the teal blue box at the top of the question page on this site? You can ask a vet who will answer you online. You have to pay for the answer, but it's much cheaper than going to an office. The experts on that site are real. Check it out

Dear Tortoise expert,

My star tortoise has exactly the same problem. Not eating well and not pooping for almost a month. Once a week i'll soak my tortoise in warm water and it usually will defecate. But it hasn't done so for almost a month.

As star tortoise is illegal as pet in my country, i can't bring it to see a vet and i doubt anyone is reptile expert as well.

Is there any home-made remedy? Pls help.

tortoise expert, i did soak my tortoise in warm water already, but he didnt poop. i wont think of giving im any detox due to your suggestions. he didnt eat for the last 4 weeks approximately, but now hes starting to eat a little carrots.

bring him to a vet! do not do anything you are un sure of!!! have you tried soaking him in warmihs water!!???
