Hi,the best things you can do for your turtle, is keep the water very clean, frequent water changes, good filtration fortified calcium pellets, add calcium to water with a cuddle bone,(shave it in the water) greens, best is romaine lettuce, one spot to bask under the UVA light, a UVB light to help metabolized the vitamins and minerals from the diet, this will keep him healthy, hard shell without spots, and bright eyes and happy...hope this helps...sincerely, Susan.
