Whiting or the shell

The line in the middle of my russian tortoise sheel is white. She doesn't like when I touch it. It's also white in between one of the cracks on the top part. Again she doesn't like when I touch it. What does it mean?

 Shell rot

You could be talking about shell rot. You can only be sure if you have a vet see the animal.

This is a serious condition, and you should get help as soon as possible.
