I like naming my animals interesting and strange things. Like Cannon Ball is my 3 yr old and Blunderbuss is my 1 yr old Selcadas. My friend gave me the names (he?s kinda into old pirate stuff) but they are unique and fun.

Naming a tortoise is like naming anyone else. Ask you parents how they chose your name. That might give you an idea about how people come up with names.
If you watch your tortoise very carefully, you'll see things about him or her that are special. Those things might give you an idea for a good name for the tortoise you live with.
You can also research the area your tortoise comes from. If your tortoise comes from Greece, you might choose a Greek name. It if comes from Madagascar, you might choose an African name.
